NARPM exists to support and empower professionals to elevate the property management industry through professional development, advocacy, and community.
Property management professionals will be recognized as the keystone of successful real estate investing.
Established in 1988, NARPM® is the only national organization focused primarily on Residential Property Management. NARPM® is committed to bringing the highest level of professionalism and ethics to the property management profession. Education is a fundamental component of the organization with a growing number of classes and materials being developed for the membership. In addition to the many educational opportunities at local, state and national conferences, NARPM® has developed a core of courses that are required to earn NARPM® designations.
NARPM® membership is growing. Currently more than 5,300 individuals are members of NARPM®, working in the US, Canada, and other countries across the globe. NARPM® offers different types of membership; everyone in the property management business can participate. The Professional Members of NARPM® are individuals who are engaged in the management of residential properties as an agent for others and are licensed in the states who require licensing. Professional Members have also completed current NARPM® Code of Ethics training. Support Staff members are individuals acting in the role of support in the office of a Professional Member. Affiliate members are vendors that provide products and services to the property management industry.
The following designations and certifications are available to NARPM® members:
The designations achieved through NARPM® require more than attending classes. NARPM® designations are earned with a combination of property management experience, NARPM® and industry education, and service to the association through volunteer activities.
Through the Annual Convention & Trade Show , Broker/Owner Conference & Expo, and State Conferences, NARPM® provides a platform for the exchange of needed information and skills. NARPM® members are provided with the opportunity to attend workshops, hear prestigious speakers, and meet vendors to preview new products and services.
The vast majority of NARPM® members are also members of local chapters that meet once a month. The growth and success of NARPM® has been and will always be dependent on the work done by our membership at all levels of the organization. Through the coordinated efforts of the individuals who comprise the many NARPM® chapters, the vision of NARPM® is delivered to the public, property owners, tenants and to fellow property managers.
