February: RVP Bulletin

Greetings from the Southeast Region. It is my privilege to serve as the 2018 Southeast Regional Vice President (RVP), for the second year for NARPM. I am truly honored to have been selected as the Southeast Regional Vice President. I have been a NARPM Member since 2009 when I attended my first event in Atlanta. The welcome from other property managers had me completely obsessed with learning more and getting involved. As time moved along, I have had the opportunity to serve NARPM^® as a member of the Next Generation Professionals (NGP), the Vice President of the Atlanta Chapter, as well as the President of the Atlanta Chapter in 2015.

To assist in the leading of our great region, I have the honor to serve beside two wonderful RVP Ambassadors, Mary Rinaldi, MPM RMP, and Mario Gonzalez, MPM RMP. Mary works for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in Port Richey, Florida, and joined NARPM^® in 2002. Mary has served on various committees and has served in every office at the chapter level. Most recently, Mary served as President of the Florida State Chapter and an RVP Ambassador last year. I am excited about the experience that Mary brings to this position, as we work together to serve our chapter leaders and members. Mario is the owner of Navy to Navy Homes in the Jacksonville, Florida area and has been a NARPM^® Member for more than five years. He has most recently served as the President of the Jacksonville/Northeast Florida Chapter and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Adding Mario to the team, along with Mary and me, will allow us to take the Southeast Region to new heights in 2018!

The Southeast Region has 11 chapters, spanning from Charleston, South Carolina to the Southeast Florida Chapter in the Miami-Dade County area. Once again, our region is proud to include the chapter receiving the most recent Large Chapter of the Year award; this time for the Orlando Chapter. This is the first time the Orlando Chapter has received this honor. I could not be more proud of the Orlando Chapter and their leadership as they continue to showcase how great the volunteers are in the Southeast Region!

The Southeast Region has some great events planned for this year; the first being the Southern States Conference to be held in Charleston, South Carolina from June 27-29, 2018. This will be the third annual event. It proves to be a chance for all members to experience education opportunities, first-class speakers, and an excellent Vendor Trade Show! Additionally, the Atlanta and Charleston Chapters are hosting the event in a new city. I look forward to seeing lots of you at this conference. It will be great. The City of Charleston is a beautiful place to visit.

On September 19-21, 2018, the Florida State Chapter will be hosting their 7th Annual Property Managers’ Conference in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Florida always hosts an awesome event, and what better setting than the Orlando area. This will be another exceptional conference and I look forward to meeting many of you there!

There are so many great things happening in NARPM^® this year. With the election of our new President Brian Birdy, MPM RMP, he charged us all to #GetINvolved. We are an association run by volunteers with an agenda set to help improve our industry and the level of knowledge among our members.

This cannot be possible without your assistance, so I charge each of you to dig deep, decide what things you are great at, and raise your hand to sign up for a committee today! Once again, I am honored that I have been selected to serve. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at our next NARPM^® event.
